How It Works

Four steps to your piece

Consult

We sit down together, in person or by video, to talk through the occasion, your style, and what you have in mind.

Design

Gita sketches the piece and you choose the silhouette, the colour, and the fabric from the season’s swatches.

Fit

We take your measurements and refine the fit across one or two fittings, until the line is exactly right.

Yours

Your finished piece is hand-made in our Northvale, NJ studio and delivered, ready to live in.

A few questions clients usually ask before their first consultation.

How long does custom take?
Most pieces take 4 to 6 weeks from your first fitting, depending on the design and the number of fittings. For events, tell us the date and we will work back from it.
What does it cost?
Custom is priced per piece, based on the design, the fabric, and the work involved. We will give you a clear quote after your consultation, before anything begins.
Where do fittings happen?
Fittings are at our studio in Northvale, New Jersey, just over the New York border. We can also come to clients in the New York area, with a deposit. For those further away, we work remotely using your measurements and video consultations.
Can you remake something I already love?
Yes. Bring us a piece that fits you perfectly, or one from the collection you want changed, and we will build from there.
What sizes do you work with?
Custom is made entirely to your measurements, with no size limit at all. Every piece is created for your exact shape, so the fit is truly yours.
